biography

Nuala O' Dea is an artist and teacher. 
She studied in DIT and NCAD and holds diplomas in Art & Design, Art & Design Teaching, and a Masters in Digital Media Technologies. She maintains her practice from her Maynooth-based studio. Her work is informed by her experience of everyday life and she explores themes around individual, family, relationship, boundary and locality. 
She works in a variety of media, including drawing, embroidery, glass, sculpture and printmaking. 
She aims to explore the universal through the specific, inviting the viewer to make connections to their own experience.
