biography
Nuala O' Dea is an artist and teacher.
She studied in DIT and NCAD and holds diplomas in Art & Design, Art & Design Teaching, and a Masters in Digital Media Technologies. She maintains her practice from her Maynooth-based studio.
Her work is informed by her experience of everyday life and she explores themes around individual, family, relationship, boundary and locality.
She works in a variety of media, including photography, drawing, embroidery, glass, digital media and printmaking.
She aims to explore the universal through the specific, inviting the viewer to make connections to their own experience.
